Fundraisers Alliance Belgium (FAB), the trade association for Belgian fundraisers, is collaborating with the HOGENT on a study that will map out fundraising by Belgian non-profit organisations. The study will take place in the autumn of 2020. The results are expected in the spring of 2021. -

Read moreDe verhoging van 45 naar 60% van de belastingvermindering voor giften in 2020 aan erkende instellingen alsook een verhoging van 10 naar 20% van het plafond van het netto-belastbaar inkomen werd op 9 juli goedgekeurd door de volksvertegenwoordigers. / Des mesures de soutien supplémentaires dans le cadre de la crise de Corona, notamment une augmentation de 45 à 60% de la réduction d'impôt pour les dons en 2020 aux institutions agréées ainsi qu'une augmentation de 10 à 20% du plafond du revenu net imposable, ont été approuvé le 9 juillet, par les députés.

Zoals zovele goede doelen, ngo’s, fondsenwervende organisaties zat Think Pink België met de handen in het haar door de afgelaste acties, evenementen en donaties die wegvielen door de coronacrisis. Ze verkochten als eerste goede doel in België comfortmaskers en konden zo hun strijd tegen borstkanker verderzetten. Heidi Vansevenant, oprichter en voorzitter van Think Pink België: “Zonder de comfortmaskers was het voor Think Pink zeer moeilijk geweest om na de coronacrisis te blijven bestaan.”

Barometer Filantropie: Belg blijft groot belang hechten aan steunen van goede doelen
Read moreMeer dan 6 op de 10 Belgen zeggen te geven aan goede doelen. Daarmee geven ze uiting aan het maatschappelijke belang dat ze aan filantropie hechten: 80 procent vindt dit belangrijk tot zelfs essentieel. Uit de Barometer en de Index van de Filantropie die de Koning Boudewijnstichting samen met denktank Itinera driejaarlijks maakt, blijkt dat de bereidheid om te geven en de filantropische activiteit stabiliseren op een hoog niveau.

Concern about fundraising evolution after the lockdown
Read moreThe FAB, Fundraisers Alliance Belgium, conducted a survey amongst its members and database on how their fundraising has evolved since the start of the Coronacrisis. 39% of responding fundraisers noticed a drop in fundraising incomes the last months, 35,5% noticed a rise (compared to the same period last year). Almost half of the fundraisers indicate that they are pessimistic about their fundraising results in the next few months. They are also worried about the continuation of corporate partnerships as of 2021.

Het plafond voor belastingvermindering voor giften wordt verhoogd van 10 naar 20% van het netto-belastbaar inkomen. Begin juni pleitte VEF voor het optrekken van de belastingvermindering.
