  1. Share success and setbacks with supporters

    Katrien Liebaut is responsible for relationships with the individual donors at WSM, We Social Movements (Wereldsolidariteit/ Solidarité Mondiale before). She has been working in fundraising for the organisation since 2013. It is of the utmost importance to her to be transparant, to share successes, but also setbacks with donors and supporters.

    Minder tijd verliezen aan administratie, een giftenvriendelijke fiscaliteit en een betere regelgeving voor fondsenwerving. Samen met de Impactcoalitie vragen wij aan de federale overheid om die ingrepen door te voeren. 

    Moins de temps perdu dans l'administratif et les formalités, une fiscalité plus favorable aux dons et une meilleure réglementation et plus moderne pour les récoltes de fonds. La Coalition Impact attend des mesures à cet égard de la part du gouvernement fédéral.

  3. Evolution of fundraising income and tips to improve fundraising (video in Dutch)

    At the end of April the publication with results of the survey on evolution of fundraising and the fundraising profession, conducted by FAB and HOGENT will be made available in Dutch. Advice on fundraising will also be added to the publication. An executive summary will be made available in French and English afterwards.

  4. Thanking Donors - be personal, authentic and invest (time)

    We were happy to meet again in person with a group of fundraisers after a long time at our conference on The Art of Thanking Donors on March 17th at the Comics Art Museum in Brussels. Jeroen Janssens, Isabel Penne and Helena Schalenbourg shared their inspirational and heartfelt experience on Thanking Donors.

  6. Invest in relationships and you will see the results in the long run

    Koalect, partner of the FAB, is a Belgian enterprise that offers fundraising, crowdfunding and crowdsourcing tools. They are increasingly focusing on integrated forms of fundraising in which traditional and new digital channels complement each other. An advice they give to all clients: invest in qualitative relationships and interaction with (potential) donors.

  9. Meer dan losse acties nodig om succesvol én duurzaam giften te werven

    Nu De Warmste Week op volle toeren draait, benadrukken Fundraisers Alliance Belgium (FAB) en HOGENT het belang van een professionele fondsenwervingsaanpak om succesvol structureel giften te werven. FAB en HOGENT voerden een studie uit over inkomsten en de rol en positie van de fondsenwervers in organisaties in België in 2020. De resultaten voor giften aan goede doelen bleven in het jaar 2020 vrij gunstig, ondanks de coronacrisis. 65% van de bevraagde organisaties zag geen daling in inkomsten via giften en legaten.
